Get in a little Golf
Designed and built in the early 1950s by Park Commission personnel, this par 70 course is built on gently rolling terrain with tree-lined fairways. The signature hole is #4, a 440-yard par 4 which doglegs around a large oak tree about 100 yards from the green. Stay to the left on your tee ball or pay the consequences. Unfortunately, the oak is ailing and may have to be removed in the near future. If that happens, hole #16 will become our featured hole. At 215 yards, the par 3 is guarded by traps on the right and left and bordered at the rear by out-of-bounds and the most spectacular cherry trees in Memphis. At over 6,400 yards and featuring small greens averaging less than 3,000 square feet, come prepared with your 'A' iron game if you want to challenge par. In 2004, Audubon was the heaviest played public course in the city.
